Production Methods
Aluminothermic Method: The aluminothermic method is the core method for producing high-grade ferrotitanium, particularly suitable for producing low-carbon, low-sulfur, high-titanium products. Its core principle is to reduce titanium oxide with aluminum and precisely control the reaction process.
Electrosilicothermic Method: The electrosilicothermic method uses silicon as a reducing agent, controlling the temperature and reaction atmosphere in an electric furnace. It is suitable for producing high-grade ferrotitanium with low to medium titanium content and a specific silicon content.
Scrap Titanium Remelting Method: For high-grade ferrotitanium with extremely high purity requirements (such as for aerospace applications), the scrap titanium remelting method can be used. This method utilizes recycled high-purity scrap titanium (such as titanium alloy scrap) and pure iron for smelting.
