 Carbon Structural Steel

Carbon structural steel is a type of carbon steel with a carbon content of about 0.05% to 0.70% (some can be as high as 0.90%), mainly used for manufacturing engineering components and mechanical parts. Based on its quality and use, carbon structural steel can be classified into two categories: Plain carbon structural steel and high-quality carbon structural steel.

  • Plain carbon structural steel

Free-cutting structural steel can be divided into several types based on the added elements and their content, such as sulfur-added free-cutting steel, sulfur-phosphorus-added free-cutting steel, and lead-added free-cutting steel. How is Carbon Steel Manufactured?

Raw Materials and Ironmaking
The production of carbon steel starts with the extraction of iron ore, which is one of the primary raw materials.
