Stainless Steel Profiles
The application of stainless steel profiles in engineering construction is based on the good corrosion resistance of stainless steel, so that the structural members can permanently maintain the integrity of the engineering design. Chromium-containing stainless steel also combines mechanical strength and high elongation, making it easy to process and manufacture parts that can meet the needs of architects and structural designers. After the first successful practical application, the stainless steel profiles have the standard specifications of stainless steel Angle, flat and square steel. Stainless steel profiles are stainless steel materials with different cross-section shapes made by hot melt extrusion of stainless steel rods. The production process of stainless steel profiles mainly includes three processes: casting, extrusion and coloring. Among them, coloring mainly includes: oxidation, electrophoretic coating, fluorocarbon spraying, powder spraying, wood grain transfer printing and other processes.
Advantages of Stainless Steel Profiles
Not stain or succumb to corrosion
Stainless steel is exactly what the name implies. It is steel that does not stain or succumb to corrosion. The chromium in stainless forms an oxide film at the surface level that protects the steel and allows it to self-repair when exposed to the elements, including pollutants. It is rust resistant, which makes stainless steel profiles more visually appealing than profiles in conventional carbon grade steels.
High strength
Another benefit of using stainless steel profiles is their strength. Steel can span long distances without significant deformation or visible stress. It basically has a higher weight-to-strength ratio than other building materials.
Easy to process
There are high grade stainless steel special shapes that allow for less material thickness than some of the more common steel grades. This allows for the overall use of less material in the manufacturing process.
Recyclable
Stainless steel profiles are a hundred percent recyclable. This makes stainless steel one of the most environmentally friendly materials to use in construction and design.

Stainless steel profiles are also used in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and petrochemical industries, where it is necessary to use equipment that is not reactive with chemicals and can withstand high temperatures.
There are several production methods and finishes available to meet the demands of individual projects. We produce special shapes and stainless steel profiles using standard hot and cold rolling. We also offer state-of-the-art technologies, such as laser fusion and hybrid profile construction. Our hot rolled stainless steel profiles and alloy shapes are produced by forming wire rod in a continuous rolling process at a temperature of about 2012 degrees Fahrenheit. Hot rolling is the most economical technology to produce steel sections. These sections are suitable for general building and construction. We are able to produce common shapes, such as flat bars, stainless steel beams, columns, and stainless steel channels at considerable cost savings to our customers.

Cold rolled stainless steel profiles are produced by forming round wire rod by a continuous rolling process at an ambient temperature. That method is an efficient manufacturing process for smaller shapes and sections. Cold rolled profiles offer some advantages, including excellent surface finish and tight tolerances. Hence, cold rolling produces hard, strong, and ductile stainless steel profiles. Laser fusion is extremely efficient and our most popular method. It offers nearly limitless capabilities and design options. The method welds individual components together to make complete fused profiles, such as stainless steel beams, channels, hollow shapes, and custom sections. Our lasers cut with minute precision. Welds are monolithic and not noticeable. Edges are sharp and lines are clean. Finishes on laser fused profiles are typically better than with other production methods.
Bead blasted and pickled is the standard finish for stainless steel profiles. We create it by micro bead blasting and pickling laser fused profiles. Hence, this finish is a uniform matte surface with low reflectivity. Mirror finish is the most reflective polished finish. It literally takes on the look of a reflective surface. This is a custom finish. Brushed stainless steel profiles have a directional pattern with a satin sheen to it. So it is a distinctive look that retains some of its metallic luster and exhibits very fine parallel, brushed lines. This is also a custom finish.
Stainless Steel Profiles Installation Guide
Stainless steel profiles are a versatile and stylish addition to any space, whether it be for residential or commercial use. If you're considering installing a stainless steel profile, this installation guide will provide you with the necessary steps to ensure a smooth and successful process. Before you begin the installation, make sure you have all the necessary tools and materials on hand. You will need a drill, screws, a screwdriver, a level, and of course, your stainless steel profile. It's also important to measure and mark where you want the t profile to be installed to ensure accuracy.
Start by placing the profile in the desired location and use a level to ensure it is straight. Once you have determined the placement, mark the hole locations with a pencil. Using a drill, create pilot holes for the screws to prevent the stainless steel from cracking during installation. Next, place the profile back in position and secure it with screws using a screwdriver. Make sure the screws are tight to ensure the t profile is securely attached to the surface. Once the t profile is properly installed, double-check that it is level and adjust if necessary.
Finally, clean the surface of the stainless steelprofile to remove any fingerprints or smudges. Regular cleaning will help maintain the appearance and longevity of the stainless steel. By following these simple steps, you can easily install a stainless steel profile in your home or business.
Stainless Steel Profiles Providing Sustainable Solutions
Eco-friendly, stainless steel production
One difference between carbon steel and stainless steel production is that of the melting process. In stainless steel production, electric arc furnaces (eaf) have been used for decades. This differs from carbon steel production which just implemented this technology in recent years. The electric arc furnace process uses less energy and uses scrap material rather than virgin iron ore for melting. This reduces the overall emissions of the melt shop. In stainless steels, the alloying elements such as chromium and nickel are key due to the re-melting of scrap. The three r’s (recycle, reduce and reuse), are an important rule to remember with stainless steel and its eco-friendly production methods. Stainless steel is 100% recyclable and is made with zero waste production methods. Co2 emissions are reduced in the production of stainless steel. Stainless steel products are durable and reusable. With laser welding specifically, the raw materials used are from approximately 90% recycled material of which 80% is from post consumer content.
Stainless steel’s sustainable advantages
Stainless steels are sustainable, durable, and designed to last a lifetime. When the correct alloy is selected, there is no coating process needed as opposed to carbon steel. This saves process time, costs and co2 emissions. Since this material doesn’t have to be coated, it allows the material to be 100% recyclable without any pretreatment. Architects and engineers can even design using high strength stainless steels like duplex, which has double the yield strength as the commercial stainless grades of 304 and 316. This allows you to design using thinner material for lightweight designs. Using less material correlates with using less carbon emissions as well. Duplex stainless is commonly used in the storage tank industry or applications where high strength and corrosion resistance are required. Studies by producing mills have even shown that the use of 2205 duplex stainless steel instead of coated carbon steel, has a potential 60% reduction of total co2 emissions.
Sustainable solutions
Stainless structurals can produce a variety of profiles in stainless steel. This includes both standard structural shapes as well as custom profiles. The more common shapes include beams, channels, angles, tees and hollow structural steel. All of these are available in many different stainless steel alloys or finishes, including polishing.
