The core components of Ferro Titanium Lump are titanium (Ti) and iron (Fe). The titanium content typically ranges from 25% to 75% (mainstream grades have Ti content of 40% to 75%). Impurities (carbon ≤ 0.1%, sulfur ≤ 0.03%, phosphorus ≤ 0.04%, aluminum ≤ 4%) are strictly controlled. It has a silver-gray metallic luster and is a key auxiliary material in steelmaking, casting, and other fields.
What is Ferro Titanium Lump used for?
Ferro Titanium Lump is used in steelmaking as a cleansing agent for iron and steel; the titanium is highly reactive with sulfur, carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen, forming insoluble compounds and sequestering them in slag, and is therefore used for deoxidizing, and sometimes for desulfurization and denitrogenation.
