Production Process
1. Raw Material Selection: Strict control is exercised to manage impurities at the source. All production raw materials undergo rigorous screening: silica is required to have an SiO₂ content exceeding 98%, an Al₂O₃ + Fe₂O₃ content below 1%, and a water absorption rate of less than 5%. Lime is required to have a CaO content exceeding 85% and a sulfur (S) content below 0.03%, while being free from under-burning or over-burning defects. Coke is required to have a fixed carbon content exceeding 80% and an ash content below 15%. This meticulous selection ensures raw material purity, minimizes the introduction of impurities at the source, and establishes a solid foundation for precise control over customized compositions.
2. Smelting Process: Flexible adaptation and precise compositional control. Depending on specific customization requirements, either a one-step or a two-step smelting process is flexibly employed: The one-step method involves mixing lime, silica, and carbonaceous reducing agents, followed by direct reductive smelting within a single submerged arc furnace. This process is streamlined and energy-efficient, making it suitable for the majority of standard customized products. The two-step method involves first producing calcium carbide, which is then reacted with silica and coke during smelting. While the process is more complex, it allows for significantly more precise compositional control, making it ideal for high-end customized products-such as those requiring high calcium content or extremely low impurity levels. Throughout the smelting process, precise control over furnace temperature and reaction duration ensures stable recovery rates for calcium and silicon elements, thereby guaranteeing that the customized compositional targets are met with absolute precision.
3. Post-processing: Tailored to specific requirements to ensure optimal physical form. Upon completion of the smelting process, the material undergoes a series of operations-including tapping, slag-metal separation, casting, demolding, and finishing-followed by further processing such as crushing, screening, and grinding to meet the client's customized specifications. This rigorous procedure ensures that the final product features uniform particle size, is free of impurities, and contains no agglomerates. Furthermore, specialized packaging methods are employed to prevent moisture absorption and oxidation, thereby guaranteeing the stability and quality of the product throughout the entire transportation and storage cycle.
