Silicon Calcium Alloy For Steelmaking

Silicon Calcium Alloy for Steelmaking is a composite alloy product with silicon and calcium as the core active ingredients and iron as the balance, specifically developed and produced for steelmaking processes. The product strictly controls the content of harmful impurities such as phosphorus, sulfur, and carbon, and features uniform composition, a moderate melting point, and high metal recovery rate. After being added to molten steel, it rapidly undergoes a metallurgical reaction, simultaneously completing multiple tasks such as deoxidation, desulfurization, degassing, and inclusion modification. It effectively solves the industry pain points of traditional single deoxidizers, which are limited in function and incomplete in reaction.

Desulfurization and Upgrading: Calcium combines with sulfur to form stable CaS inclusions, which are smoothly discharged with the slag. Desulfurization efficiency can reach 80%-90%, controlling the sulfur content in steel below 0.01%, eliminating hot brittleness, and significantly improving the toughness, ductility, and weldability of steel.

Inclusion Modification and Optimization: Long, sharp-angled harmful inclusions in molten steel are transformed into spherical, fine inclusions, avoiding stress concentration caused by inclusions and comprehensively improving the internal microstructure of the steel, making it suitable for the stringent smelting requirements of high-end precision steel, cold-rolled plates, and special steels.

Stable Composition and High Recovery Rate: Adopting standardized automated production processes, the finished product composition deviation is minimal. The reaction after being added to molten steel is complete and thorough, resulting in a stable and controllable metal recovery rate, reducing auxiliary material waste and effectively lowering the overall smelting cost of the steel plant.
