CaSi Alloy For Desulfurization

CaSi Alloy for Desulfurization is a composite ferroalloy mainly composed of silicon and calcium, typically containing 28%-32% calcium and 55%-65% silicon, with low impurities. In steelmaking, it has both desulfurization and deoxidation effects. Calcium reacts with sulfur in molten steel to form stable sulfides that float to the surface for slag removal. Simultaneously, it modifies inclusions, prevents nozzle clogging, and improves steel toughness and purity. It is suitable for ladle refining of high-end steel and stainless steel, and is available in block, powder, and cored wire forms.

Synergistic Deoxidation and Desulfurization: Silicon rapidly reduces iron oxide in molten steel, creating a strong reducing atmosphere, reducing calcium oxidation loss, ensuring a more thorough desulfurization reaction, preventing secondary sulfur re-entry, and significantly improving alloy utilization.
Inclusion Modification and Upgrading: Sharp, harmful, elongated inclusions in molten steel are transformed into spherical fine particles, improving the cold rolling, welding, and impact properties of the steel, eliminating cracking and delamination problems in finished products, and suitable for the production of high-end pipeline steel, automotive steel, and bearing steel.
Stable Composition with No Fluctuations: Utilizing a closed refining process, harmful impurities such as phosphorus, sulfur, and aluminum are strictly controlled. The alloy composition deviation is minimal for each batch, the feed rate is controllable, and the desulfurization effect is stable throughout the process, without introducing additional impurities into the molten steel.
