It can reduce the oxygen content in steel to ≤ 20 ppm, thereby eliminating defects such as porosity, cracks, and slag inclusions at the source, and boosting the steel's yield rate by 10%–15%.
Deep Desulfurization: Achieving a desulfurization rate of 85%–93%, a standard addition of just 0.1%–0.3% is sufficient to reduce sulfur content to below 0.01%. This meets the stringent requirements of high-end steel grades, such as pipeline steel, bearing steel, and automotive structural steel.
Inclusion Modification: It transforms brittle, elongated inclusions into fine, spherical, and dispersed inclusions, thereby enhancing the steel's plasticity, impact toughness, and weldability, and extending the product's service life.
Cost Optimization: By serving as a partial substitute for expensive aluminum-based deoxidizers, it allows for a 30%–40% reduction in alloy addition volume and a 15%–20% reduction in slag volume, thereby significantly expanding profit margins.
