Calcium Ferro Cored Wire is a key auxiliary material used for deep desulfurization, deoxidation and inclusion modification in steel production. Product Description

Calcium Ferro Cored Wire is an efficient processing material based on the "wire feeding method" metallurgical technology. Its core feature is to achieve "directional transportation" of calcium elements through steel strip wrapping, greatly reducing the burning loss of calcium in traditional calcium addition methods (the recovery rate can reach 20%-30%, which is much higher than the 5%-10% of traditional methods). At the same time, the precise control of the composition of molten steel can be achieved by controlling the wire feeding speed and amount. It is an important process for the modern steel industry to improve the purity of molten steel and reduce production costs.

Products application

1. Pipeline steel: used for oil and natural gas pipelines (such as X80 and X100 steel). By controlling the sulfur content and inclusion morphology, the resistance to hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC) and sulfide stress corrosion (SSCC) can be improved to adapt to high-pressure and high-corrosion environments.
2. Electrical steel (silicon steel): reduce the oxygen content in steel, reduce the obstruction of oxides to magnetic domains, improve magnetic induction (B50 value increased by 0.05-0.1T), reduce iron loss (P15/50 decreased by 5%-10%), and is suitable for high-efficiency electromagnetic materials such as transformers and motor cores.
3. Stainless steel: In austenitic stainless steels such as 304 and 316, calcium can inhibit the formation of Cr₂O₃, reduce the loss of chromium elements, and ensure corrosion resistance; at the same time, it improves the fluidity of molten steel and reduces defects such as pinholes and cracks on the surface of the ingot.
