As a low nickel austenitic stainless steel, 201 stainless steel is widely used in various fields.
Product characteristics
Chemical composition: The main component of 201 stainless steel belt is 17Cr-4.5Ni-6Mn-N, which is a nickel-section steel with low nickel content, and some nickel is replaced by manganese.
Physical properties: 201 stainless steel strip surface bright, with dark luster, but due to high manganese content, easy to rust, corrosion resistance is relatively poor.
Mechanical properties: with high hardness and strength, such as Vickers hardness HV range of 280°~420°, yield strength ≥275MPa, tensile strength ≥520MPa.

production process
201 stainless steel belt production process mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material treatment: scrap steel and ferroalloy are used as raw materials and melted in electric arc furnace to form a preliminary molten state.
Refining: The molten steel after melting by electric arc furnace goes into AOD (argon-oxygen refining furnace) and VOD (vacuum oxygen decarburization furnace) for secondary refining to improve the purity and quality of molten steel.
Continuous casting: The refined molten steel is fed into the continuous casting machine and formed into billets through continuous casting.
Rolling: The billet goes through a series of rolling processes and is repeatedly rolled by the rolling mill to achieve the desired thickness and width.
Annealing treatment: The steel strip is continuously annealed to eliminate the internal stress and improve its mechanical properties.
Surface treatment: electrolytic pickling is carried out to remove impurities from the surface and make the surface smoother. Then surface treatments such as light rolling, polishing and cold rolling are carried out to form different levels of surface quality.
