304L Stainless Steel Plate
304L stainless steel plate is a general-purpose stainless steel with a melting point of 1398–1420°C, a hardness of HB ≤187, HRB ≤90, HV ≤200, and a density of 7.93 g/cm³. It is widely used in the production of equipment and components that require a combination of excellent corrosion resistance and formability.
Features of 304L Stainless Steel plate
Low Carbon Variant
304L is a variant of 304 stainless steel with reduced carbon content, designed for applications requiring welding. The lower carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation in the heat-affected zone (HAZ) during welding, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion (also known as weld decay) in specific environments.

Corrosion Resistance
Under normal conditions, 304L offers corrosion resistance similar to that of standard 304 stainless steel. However, after welding or exposure to stress, 304L demonstrates superior resistance to intergranular corrosion. It also maintains excellent corrosion resistance without the need for heat treatment and is generally used at temperatures below 400°C. Additionally, it is non-magnetic and operates effectively within a temperature range of -196°C to 800°C.
