301 Stainless Sheet
Products Description
301 stainless steel sheet exhibits good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, water corrosion, and weak acid and alkali corrosion. Its corrosion resistance under normal conditions is close to that of 304 stainless steel, with optimal corrosion resistance in the annealed state.

FAQ
Q1: What are the core differences between 301 and 304 stainless steel sheets?
A1: The core differences lie in cold-working strengthening properties and nickel content: 301 has a lower nickel content (6-8%), resulting in significantly higher strength and better elasticity after cold working compared to 304. Its corrosion resistance is similar to 304 but slightly weaker. 301 is suitable for springs, sheet metal, and high-strength structural components. 304 is suitable for general corrosion resistance, containers, and decorative applications.
Q2: Can 301 stainless steel sheets be hardened through heat treatment?
A2: No. 301 is a cold-working strengthened austenitic stainless steel and cannot be hardened through heat treatment. For high hardness and high elasticity, cold rolling hardening is required.
Q3: Is 301 stainless steel sheet magnetic?
A3: The annealed state is basically non-magnetic; after cold working, it will become magnetic due to the formation of martensite. The higher the processing rate, the stronger the magnetism, but it does not affect normal use.
