Ferrotitanium for Making Electrodes is primarily used in the production of welding materials such as manual arc welding rods and submerged arc welding wire. It is a key raw material that determines the processability and weld quality of electrodes.

 Precisely controllable composition: The titanium content is typically fixed between 35% and 60%, with a strictly controlled fluctuation range of ±1.5%, ensuring consistent titanium content across batches of electrodes and minimizing fluctuations in welding performance. Furthermore, the content of impurities such as carbon, sulfur, and phosphorus is extremely low, preventing defects such as porosity and cracks in welds.
 Highly adaptable particle size: Depending on the mixing process for the electrode coating, the particle size is typically processed into 80-200 mesh fine powder or 1-3mm small particles. The fine particle size ensures uniform mixing of ferrotitanium with the other coating components, preventing coating shedding and component segregation during welding due to uneven particle size.

 Excellent Low Hydrogen Properties: Ferrotitanium for Making Electrodes has a water content strictly controlled below 0.1%, making it a low-hydrogen additive. This effectively reduces hydrogen input during electrode welding, lowering the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking in the weld metal. It is particularly suitable for welding hydrogen-sensitive steels such as high-strength and low-temperature steels.

 Excellent Arc Stability and Slag Forming: Titanium ionizes a large number of electrons at high arc temperatures, enhancing arc stability and preventing arc breakage and excessive spatter during welding. Furthermore, titanium oxides combine with the other coating components to form a slag with an appropriate melting point and moderate viscosity, protecting the weld pool from air contamination and ensuring a beautiful weld.
