Usage Specifications
Wire Feeding Timing: When the molten steel in the converter/electric furnace reaches 80%-90% of its capacity in the ladle, wire should be fed synchronously to avoid secondary oxidation of the molten steel and ensure effective reaction.
Wire Feeding Speed: 2-4 m/s (adjusted according to ladle capacity; lower speed for small ladles, higher speed for large ladles)
Wire Feeding Depth: 300-500 mm below the molten steel surface in the ladle to ensure complete dissolution of the core powder and sufficient reaction.
Wire Feeding Amount: 0.8-1.5 kg/t steel, slightly adjusted according to the initial oxygen and sulfur content of the molten steel.
Post-Processing: After wire feeding, allow the steel to stand for 5-8 minutes to allow inclusions to fully float to the surface before continuous casting or casting to further improve billet quality and reduce defects.
