Silicon metal is a gray and shiny semiconductor metal,also known as crystalline silicon or industrial silicon, is mainly used as an additive for non-ferrous alloys which smelted from quartz and coke in an electric furnace.

This specification covers silicon metal products primarily used in steel manufacturing, including Silicon Metal 3303 and 443 grades in pure silicon metal powder form with a minimum purity of 97%. Silicon Metal 3303 contains ≥ 97.0% Silicon (Si), ≤ 0.30% Iron (Fe), ≤ 0.30% Aluminum (Al), and ≤ 0.03% Calcium (Ca), while Silicon Metal 443 contains ≤ 0.40% each of Iron (Fe) and Aluminum (Al) with the same Silicon and Calcium limits. The product is a silver-gray metallic powder with a density of approximately 2.33 g/cm³, melting point of approximately 1414°C, and customizable particle size typically ranging from 100 mesh to 325 mesh. Store in a dry, ventilated area away from moisture and ignition sources, protect during transportation, and handle with appropriate protective equipment.
