98% Min Black Silicon Carbide

98% Min Black Silicon Carbide exhibits excellent chemical stability. When heated to 1000°C in air, only the surface oxidizes, forming a silicon dioxide film that protects the underlying material from further oxidation. However, its oxidation resistance rapidly decreases when heated above 1627°C. Its primary component is silicon carbide (SiC), with a minimum content of 98%.

 Refractory Materials: 98% Min Black Silicon Carbide exhibits excellent high-temperature resistance and thermal shock resistance. It can be used as a raw material in the production of refractory materials such as refractory bricks, castables, and prefabricated components. It can also be used in the lining of high-temperature equipment such as steelmaking furnaces and glass kilns, withstanding high temperatures and slag corrosion.
 Metallurgy: It can be used as a deoxidizer in the steelmaking process, leveraging its non-oxidizing properties to effectively reduce the oxygen content in molten steel and improve steel quality. It can also be used in the foundry industry to improve the quality and performance of castings.  Abrasives and Grinding Tools: Due to its high hardness and good wear resistance, it can be used to manufacture grinding wheels, sandpaper, sanding belts and other abrasive tools. It is suitable for grinding and polishing steel, metal, marble, ceramics, granite and other materials. It can also be used for sandblasting to roughen the surface of stone or clean the surface of semiconductor parts.
