Stainless Steel Manufacturers 301 Steel Strips
The main chemical composition of 301 stainless steel includes chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni), and its nominal group is divided into 17%Cr and 7%Ni. In addition, it may also contain small amounts of carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn) and other elements. The content and proportion of these elements determine the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of 301 stainless steel.

Mechanical property
High strength: 301 has a high tensile strength and yield strength, which makes it an advantage in applications that withstand higher loads.
Good ductility: Despite the high strength of 301 , it still maintains good ductility, which makes it not easy to break during cold working.
Work hardening: 301 in the cold processing process will occur work hardening phenomenon, that is, with the increase in the amount of cold processing, its strength will be significantly improved. This characteristic makes 301 stainless steel widely used in applications requiring high strength and good wear resistance.
Corrosion resistance
301 has good atmospheric corrosion resistance and can resist the corrosion of a variety of media. However, its corrosion resistance is slightly lower than that of 18-8 Cr-Ni steel grades (such as 304 stainless steel). When welding, the carbide precipitation trend of 301 stainless steel limits its use in some aspects, while 304 or 304L steel grades are more suitable for welding applications.
Heat resistance
301 has good oxidation resistance in intermittent operation up to 840°C (1550°F) and continuous operation up to 900°C (1650°F). However, exposure to temperatures above about 400°C will lead to the gradual elimination of the work hardening effect. At about 800°C, its strength will be similar to that of annealed 301 stainless steel.

Processing technology
Cutting: 301 plate can be cut by laser cutting, water knife cutting or shearing machine to achieve high-precision cutting effect.
Stamping: The use of stamping die for stainless steel plate punching and forming, can produce a variety of shapes and specifications of parts. The stamping process is suitable for mass production and has the advantages of high efficiency and low cost.
Bending: 301 has good plasticity, can be cold bending through the bending machine, suitable for making a variety of bending shapes of products.
Welding: 301 can be connected by various welding methods such as argon arc welding and laser welding. When welding, appropriate welding materials and processes should be selected to ensure the strength and corrosion resistance of welded joints.
Surface treatment: 301 stainless steel can be electrolytic polishing, wire drawing, sandblasting and other surface treatment processes to improve its appearance and corrosion resistance.
