SS Blank Flange

SS Blank Flanges are effectively resistant to corrosion from a variety of chemicals and maintain excellent performance in harsh environments such as acids and alkalis. Stainless steel also possesses excellent mechanical properties and can withstand high pressures and temperatures.

Forging: Generally consists of the following processes: selecting a steel billet, blanking, heating, forming, and post-forging cooling. Forging methods include open forging, die forging, and mold forging.

Casting: The selected raw steel is melted in a medium-frequency electric furnace, bringing the molten steel temperature to 1600-1700°C. The mold is preheated to 800-900°C and maintained at this temperature. The centrifuge is then started and the molten steel is poured into the preheated mold. The casting is then allowed to cool naturally to 800-900°C for 1-10 minutes. It is then cooled with water to near room temperature and removed from the mold.

Features: Cast flange blanks offer precise shape and dimensions, require minimal machining, and are low-cost. However, casting defects such as pores, cracks, and inclusions may occur, and the internal structure of the casting may be less streamlined.

Cutting: The flange's inner and outer diameters and thickness are directly cut from the center plate, leaving allowances for machining. Bolt holes and waterline machining are then performed. The maximum diameter of the flange produced using this method is limited to the width of the center plate.

Rolling: Strips are cut from the center plate and rolled into a circle. The process is then welded, flattened, and the waterline and bolt holes are machined. This method is often used for the production of large flanges.
