Factory Supply Welded Stainless Steel Pipes

Stainless steel can be divided into three categories based on crystal structure. These groups include martensite, austenite and ferrite. The combination of martensitic and ferritic steels forms the fourth group of stainless steels, called precipitation-hardened steels.

Product Introduction

Stainless steel welded steel pipe is a steel pipe made by welding steel or steel strip after crimping. This kind of steel pipe has many advantages and characteristics and is widely used in various fields.

Production technology

Raw material preparation: Use qualified steel or steel strip as raw material.
Molding: The raw material is crimped and other molding processes to form the desired shape of the tube.
Welding: The automatic welding process is used to weld the tube after forming to form a weld. Common welding methods are straight seam welding, spiral welding and so on.
Inspection and post-treatment: Quality inspection of the welded steel pipe, including the test of weld strength, corrosion resistance and other indicators. At the same time, post-treatment processes such as surface treatment and annealing may also be carried out.

product feature

welding
Welding of grade 440B stainless steel is generally not recommended because it hardens easily in air. If welding this steel grade, the recommended temperature is 260°C (500°F), and for post-weld treatment, the recommended temperature is 732-760°C (1350-1400°F). Post-weld treatment should be carried out for 6 hours, and then the material should be cooled slowly in the furnace to avoid cracking. Similar high heat input and filler metal should be used during operation.

Machinability
Grade 440B stainless steel is best machined in the annealed condition. Chipbreakers are designed to handle tough, sticky chips in grade 440B stainless steel. Ceramic or carbide tools are best suited for this grade 440B stainless steel.

Thermal processing
Hot working of Grade 440B stainless steel involves preheating the steel to 760°C (1400°F) and then slowly increasing the temperature range to 1038-1204°C (1900-2200°F). After the thermal working process, the material is slowly cooled to room temperature and then completely annealed.
