Cold-rolled stainless steel coil with 8K mirror finish has a continuous operating temperature up to 675℃ and an intermittent operating temperature up to 815℃. It can withstand long-term temperature fluctuations from -20℃ to 850℃ without deformation, embrittlement, or peeling. Its high-temperature oxidation resistance far surpasses that of ordinary carbon steel. It possesses excellent ductility and toughness, making it easy to bend, stretch, stamp, and roll for deep processing. A: 409L is a low-carbon upgrade of 409. The core difference lies in carbon content and stability: 409L has a carbon content ≤0.03% (409 is ≤0.08%), and titanium must be added for stabilization. Its advantages include no risk of intergranular corrosion after welding, superior corrosion resistance and high-temperature stability, making it more suitable for automated production lines with high-volume welding. It is the preferred choice for high-end applications such as automotive exhaust systems, while 409 is more suitable for ordinary applications with lower welding performance requirements.

Q2: How is the corrosion resistance of 409L stainless steel coils? Can it replace 304 stainless steel?

A: 409L stainless steel has better corrosion resistance than carbon steel and aluminized steel, and can withstand environments such as atmospheric conditions, humidity, vehicle exhaust, and weak acids and alkalis, but lower than 304 stainless steel.
