Silicon Slag 45

Silicon Slag 45 is a byproduct of the production of metallic silicon. After the ore undergoes smelting and other processes, the remaining residue is silicon slag. The silicon content in this slag varies depending on the production process and raw materials.

 Steelmaking: Silicon Slag 45 is used as a deoxidizer in the steelmaking process, effectively reducing the oxygen content in molten steel and improving its quality and properties. It also increases furnace temperature, improves molten steel fluidity, and facilitates slag removal, contributing to improved smelting efficiency and steel grade.
 Foundry: In conventional casting, it increases the fluidity of molten iron, enabling it to better fill the mold, thereby improving the quality and precision of the casting. It also enhances the toughness and machinability of the casting.

 Ferroalloy Production: Silicon slag can be used in the purification process of other ferroalloy products. By adding 45% silicon slag, the silicon purity of ferroalloy products can be effectively increased, resulting in higher quality products.
 Other Applications: Silicon slag powder can be made into products such as silicon pellets, which have a wide range of applications in the market. Furthermore, it can be used as a reducing agent in processes such as electric furnace recycling of stainless steel, effectively improving production efficiency and reducing costs.
