Product Description
Ferro sulfur cored wire is a "sulfur carrier" that transports sulfur to molten steel in a directional manner through physical melting and chemical reaction at high temperature. Sulfur can form sulfide inclusions with manganese, calcium, etc. in steel: for free-cutting steel, these inclusions can break the adhesion between the cutting edge and the workpiece and improve processing efficiency; for ordinary steel grades, hot brittleness (high-temperature brittleness caused by sulfur and iron forming low-melting-point sulfides) can be avoided by controlling the sulfur content.

1. After the ferro sulfur cored wire is fed into the molten steel through the wire feeder, the sulfur will combine with elements such as manganese in the steel to form sulfide inclusions (such as MnS). These inclusions can break the continuity of the metal during the cutting process, making the chips easier to break and fall off, reducing tool wear and improving the surface finish of the machined surface.
