Ferro Titanium For Steelmaking is produced through aluminothermic and electrosilicothermic smelting processes. Its impurities are strictly controlled, meeting the steelmaking requirements of "low impurities and high activity." It can be used independently as a deoxidizer or in combination with calcium silicon alloys, aluminum, and other materials for synergistic refining.

Deoxidation: Titanium has a high affinity for oxygen, making ferro titanium a highly effective deoxidizer, surpassing the efficiency of silicon or manganese.
Grain refinement: It controls and refines the grain structure of steel, resulting in a finer and more uniform grain size which improves toughness and strength.
Stabilization: Titanium reacts with carbon and nitrogen, forming stable compounds like titanium nitride. This prevents other elements from negatively impacting the steel's properties.
Alloying element: It is added to create specialty steels and improve properties like wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and strength, especially in tool steels and stainless steels.
Improving ductility: In some steels that use aluminum for grain refinement, titanium can form uniform titanium nitride precipitates , which increases ductility and prevents intergranular fracture .
