Production process
Ore preparation: Manganese ore is processed, crushed, and leached with sulfuric acid to create a manganese sulfate solution.
Purification: Impurities, including phosphorus, iron, and other heavy metals, are removed from the solution through various chemical and physical processes.
Electrolysis: An electric current is passed through the purified manganese sulfate solution. Pure manganese metal deposits on the cathode, while other ions remain in the solution.
Harvesting: The pure manganese plates are removed from the cathode, washed, and dried.
