 Excellent high-temperature stability: The melting point of chromium is as high as 1907°C, and it is not easy to oxidize at high temperatures (the melting point of the oxide film Cr₂O₃ is about 2435°C), making it suitable for use in high-temperature environment materials. For example, adding 10%-20% chromium to the alloy of aircraft engine turbine blades can enable it to work stably for a long time at temperatures above 1000°C.

 Combination of decorative and functional properties: Chromium has a silvery-white metallic luster and is not easy to change color. The chrome plating layer not only improves the aesthetics of the product (such as furniture and bathroom hardware), but also improves the surface wear resistance (such as machine tool guide rails and piston rings) through "hard chrome plating" (thickness 5-50μm), extending the service life by 3-5 times.
