321 Stainless Steel Pipe

 

321 stainless steel pipes can operate stably in a wide temperature range of -196℃ to 800℃, maintaining high mechanical strength even at 600℃, far superior to 304 stainless steel. They exhibit good oxidation resistance at 816℃ and are not prone to creep or deformation. Their corrosion resistance is excellent; the addition of titanium preferentially forms titanium carbide, inhibiting chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries and effectively preventing intergranular corrosion-a core advantage distinguishing them from 304 stainless steel. Furthermore, they demonstrate good corrosion resistance to alkaline media, organic acids, and inorganic acids. Data from a paper mill shows that 321 stainless steel pipes can have a service life of over 10 years in alkaline black liquor, significantly reducing replacement costs and downtime losses.
