This allows the silicon element to fully dissolve into the molten iron, forming a ferrosilicon alloy with uniform composition and stable properties. During the production process, precise temperature control, raw material ratios, and advanced testing equipment ensure strict quality control for each batch.

Improved Strength and Hardness: As an alloying element, silicon dissolves in ferrite, producing a solid solution strengthening effect, significantly improving the strength and hardness of gray cast iron. In the production of gray iron castings, such as machine tool beds and engine blocks, which require high structural strength and wear resistance, the appropriate addition of ferrosilicon can increase the Brinell hardness of the gray iron, meeting the strength and wear resistance requirements for long-term service and extending the product's lifespan.

Improved vibration damping performance: The graphite in gray iron has excellent vibration damping properties, and the fine flake graphite morphology promoted by ferrosilicon further optimizes this effect.

Adaptable to castings of varying wall thicknesses: For thin-walled gray iron castings, ferrosilicon can inhibit white cast iron during rapid solidification, ensuring casting quality. For thick-walled gray iron castings, ferrosilicon promotes uniform graphitization, reducing internal structural variations in the casting, preventing defects such as shrinkage cavities and porosity, and ensuring consistent performance across gray iron castings of varying wall thicknesses. Ferrosilicon is widely used in the production of automotive parts (such as brake drums and clutch pressure plates) and pipe fittings (such as drainage pipes and radiators).
