Product Introduction
High-carbon electrolytic manganese is an alloy of manganese and iron, typically appearing as dark gray to black granules or lumps with a star-shaped crystal structure in cross-section. Its density is approximately 5.7-6.2 g/cm³, and its melting point is around 1240℃.
Applications
In steelmaking, high-carbon electrolytic manganese is a core alloying agent and deoxidizer. In the smelting of automotive frame steel, it reduces inclusions in the molten steel, increases tensile strength, and enhances low-temperature toughness. When used in ultra-high manganese steel for mining machinery track plates, it significantly increases the surface hardness of the steel after impact.
Casting Industry: Used in the manufacture of castings such as automotive parts, crane booms, and heavy machinery components. It improves the strength and wear resistance of castings, ensuring their service life under complex working conditions and preventing damage due to excessive stress or wear.
Stainless Steel Refining: In stainless steel production, it can combine with sulfur to form manganese sulfide, preventing chromium from becoming ineffective due to sulfur combination. It also fixes nitrogen, improving the pressure resistance of stainless steel and ensuring the safety of stainless steel products such as chemical pipelines.
